CUE’s content API micro-service provides publishers with media-neutral and technology-independent access to their content. Using a decoupled presentation layer, CUE offers a new approach to the creation of websites and applications. The presentation layer is completely decoupled from the content engine itself and can be installed anywhere.
The heart of the solution is the Cook. The Cook's JSON-based API provides a completely open, language-independent interface. This gives customers the freedom to build web sites and applications using whatever tools and technologies they wish.
It is also an ideal interface for the construction of native Android and IOS apps.
The concept also includes the Waiter, a templating application that combines JSON data obtained from the Cook with HTML templates to generate complete websites and applications. You can use the Waiter to generate your websites if you wish, or you can replace it with some other system of your choice. The Waiter also works alongside other presentation tools.
Together, the Cook and the Waiter provide an out-of-the box publishing solution for quickly building websites using familiar, industry-standard web design technology.
CUE provides a simple browser-based user interface that makes it easy to focus on the task at hand by organizing content in separate browser tabs.
The CUE architecture includes a decoupled back-end service, that exposes content as language-independent JSON data that gives you freedom to create you own presentation layer if you wish.
Running on everything from a smartphone to a designer’s workstation, CUE imposes no limitations for you to work on your favorite device.
